CHANNELVIEW, Texas — A man was killed after crashing his vehicle into a utility pole in Channelview Wednesday night, according to Sheriff Ed Gonzalez.
It happened on the East Freeway and Carey Lane.
According to the CenterPoint power outage tracker, there were more than 1,000 customers without power after the crash. Gonzalez said CenterPoint was advised of the crash.
The sheriff said the man was pronounced dead on the scene.
