Congressman-elect Dan Crenshaw opened up about something he’s gotten a lot of questions about – his eye patch.
Crenshaw lost his right eye while he was serving as a Navy SEAL in Afghanistan. In a post on Twitter Monday, he said he feels self-conscious sometimes about wearing his glass eye in public.
“There’s no reason to wear an eye patch when I’m around family or friends because they’re used to my many glass eyes,” said Crenshaw. “I noticed in public it’s distracting to people.”
Crenshaw did say he will be sporting some new eye patches in the future. He mentioned the guy who made his patches in the past took a long break, but now he's back in business.
He linked the business in the post and said the eye patches can be worn by anybody in the world.
