CYPRESS, Texas - Police were called to Cy-Fair High School northwest of Houston early Thursday after someone alerted administrators to the possibility of a weapon being on campus.
A spokesman for the Cy-Fair Independent School District said the campus was placed on lockdown as a precaution shortly after 8 a.m.
School officials were told the weapon may be in a student s car parked at the school.
Police investigated and determined the vehicle in question did not have a weapon in it, and the lockdown was lifted at 9 a.m.
