CONROE, Texas — Entergy Texas is scheduled to start reliability upgrades along Longmire Road and Highway 105 in Conroe on Monday, requiring the company to conduct localized outages.
The company said individual customers will only be impacted once since the outages are occurring in stages. They will take place in the timeframe of October 30 to November 5. The outages are scheduled to start at 8 p.m. and may last up to 8 hours. Entergy Texas had originally included outages on Halloween on the schedule, starting at 10 p.m., but on Sunday, they changed it to exclude October 31 altogether.
“The Conroe area is experiencing tremendous economic development, and these upgrades will improve reliability and ensure the community has the necessary capacity to support the growth we’re seeing,” said Entergy Texas Customer Service Manager Latisha Thomas. "We carefully coordinate the process for upgrading our infrastructure."
The upgrades will take place along Longmire Road and Highway 105 from I-45 to Dam Site Road. The company said the upgrades will help improve reliability and decrease the length of future outages.
Entergy said impacted customers have been notified of the planned outages.
