MATAGORDA, Texas — U.S. Coast Guard crews are searching for two missing divers near Matagorda, Texas.
They launched an MH-65 Dolphin Helicopter, an HC-144 Ocean Sentry aircraft and a boat to look for the divers. The crew of the Coast Guard Cutter Edgar Culbertson was also sent to help with the search.
Sector Corpus Christi watchstanders were notified that the divers were last seen surfacing Wednesday afternoon in "unfavorable weather conditions" about 15 miles offshore from Matagorda. When the weather cleared, there was no sign of the divers.
