HOUSTON - Firefighters worked to free a driver following a bad crash in southwest Houston early Wednesday.
The incident occurred just before 6 a.m. on Almeda-Genoa Road a few blocks west of Highway 288.
Views from Air 11 showed a dark colored sedan wedged under the trailer of a big rig. It appeared the sedan struck the trailer as the truck pulled out of a gas station parking lot.
The crash resulted in a brief fire.
There was no early word on injuries involved.
The roadway was shut down for more than two hours while crews worked to move the damaged vehicles.
