FORT BEND COUNTY, Texas — The Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office said it's investigating after a body was found in a drainage ditch on Tuesday.
They said construction workers discovered the body along FM 361 at Pine Meadow Lane, which is just off Highway 36 between Rosenberg and Needville.
Investigators said it appears as if the person was riding a bike and was hit by a vehicle since a bicycle and motor vehicle debris were found nearby.
Authorities said they were working to find out what happened. The victim's identity has not been revealed.
