BEAUMONT, Texas -- A Beaumont woman is recovering from the surprise of her life after she found a giant snake hiding in her cupboards. The snake turned out to be a very healthy Ball Python measuring about four feet long.
The woman called Beaumont Animal Services once she spotted the snake. When an officer arrived at her home, he had a hard time finding the reptile; he searched in the cabinets and behind the fridge before discovering it nestled in the woman's oven.
The snake is being held at the shelter. Because it was in such good shape, animal control officers think it was a pet. If you know to whom it belongs, call 409-838-3304.
