ASHLAND, Ore. – One ambitious deer learned a lesson in caution Wednesday afternoon in southern Oregon.
The deer’s trip through Ashland came to a frightening and uncomfortable halt when it suddenly got stuck in a backyard tree.
Fortunately, the creative minds of Ashland police came together to rescue the helpless animal. Officers used a hydraulic jack to spread the tree trunk until the deer was able to squeeze through, according to the police department’s Facebook page.
The deer, after the slightest of delays, made its way to greener pastures unharmed with a lesson to remember.
