HOUSTON - The Houston Zoo debuted its newest giraffe on Friday, a female named Gigi.
The baby giraffe is only five days old and already stands at 6'3'' tall and weighs 160 pounds. The Houston Zoo posted the a video about Gigi to their YouTube page on Friday.
Gigi was born Monday evening after a three-hour-long labor to first-time mom, Asali.
The two had time to bond after the birth as veterinary teams watched over them. The two were re-introduced to the herd on Friday. The zoo has a total of ten giraffes that include six males and four females.
