HOUSTON - Twenty families have been displaced after a 3-alarm fire was reported in southwest Houston Sunday afternoon.
The Houston Fire Department responded to the fire at 5600 Chimney Rock road around 1 p.m.
Eight apartment units were reportedly damaged.
Thankfully, everyone made it out safely. One firefighter was injured, but he was treated at the scene and is expected to be OK.
Officials said it took 100 firefighters to put out the blaze.
The American Red Cross was dispatched to the scene for the families affected.
Arson investigators were also on the scene Sunday afternoon and are investigating the cause of the fire.
