HARRIS COUNTY, Texas -- The Harris County Sheriff's Office confirms two workers are dead after a house collapsed Thursday morning.
The sheriff's office says the two men were raising a home at 5414 Olana Dr. when the home fell on them. Both were pronounced dead at the scene.
Air 11 was overhead as neighbors gathered in shock over the news.
A total of four men were apparently trying to raise the home for a neighbor who had been affected by Harvey.
"They were lifting the house and the house collapsed. They were lifting Bobby Godwin's house. They were volunteering, they were just trying to do a good deed from Hurricane Harvey. It's pretty much a good deed gone bad," said Roxana Lee, a family member of the homeowner.
The Harris County Fire Marshal is leading the investigation into what happened.
