HOUSTON -- At least two people escaped a house fire in northwest Houston late Sunday, firefighters said.
The Houston Fire Department was called to Cedel Drive near Ridgecrest Drive around 9 p.m.
Firefighters found heavy smoke and flames coming from the home. They made a fast attack and brought the flames under control, but the house was heavily damaged.
Investigators said the fire appeared to have started in a bedroom and spread to much of the rest of the home. At least two people were there at the time.
No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
