HOUSTON The League City Fire Marshal s Office is trying to determine what caused a fire to erupt at the South Shore Harbour Marina in League City late Monday.
Firefighters from League City, Nassau Bay, Kemah and Seabrook joined to battle the fire which broke out at the marina shortly before midnight. They extinguished the blaze and had the scene cleared by 4 a.m. Tuesday.
Investigators saidthree large boatswere either damaged or destroyed.
The US Coast Guard set up a boom around the boats in an effort to prevent any possible environmental contamination in the water.
