HPD: No shots were fired inside Baybrook Mall parking garage

Houston Police said Sunday morning there is no evidence to show shots were fired inside a Baybrook Mall parking garage Saturday evening.

The department sent out a tweet around 10:15 p.m. Saturday saying someone fired shots in the garage and fled the scene 30 minutes earlier.

Sunday morning, the department sent out a second tweet saying after working with mall officials there is no evidence to indicate a shot was fired after all.

The tweet read: "Update: After a thorough search and investigation with mall officials, there is no evidence to indicate a shot was fired in the mall parking garage last night. The origin of the noise in the garage hasn’t been determined."

Officers have not explained what the incident was inside the garage.

This is still a developing story and we will update it as more information becomes available.
