HOUSTON – A rider died in a motorcycle accident after striking a median and falling off his bike in east Houston overnight.
According to the Houston Police Department, it happened at 11:30 p.m. Monday in the 1000 block of North Wayside.
At that time, a motorcycle rider was heading north on Wayside and veered over, hitting the center median.
The rider fell off his motorcycle and struck some small trees in the process.
He died at the scene of the accident. Police say he was wearing a helmet.
They added that slick road from overnight rain may have factored into the accident.
