HOUSTON — Chance of development from the system we've been watching out in the Gulf of Mexico continue to diminish. Invest 91L is down to a 0 percent chance of development. It had been at 60 percent on Friday, then 30 early Saturday morning.
The system has moved inland, According to the National Hurricane Center
The Houston area can expect on and off, light to moderate showers all day Saturday. The coastal counties may deal with minor impacts from the system -- mainly coastal flooding -- but by Sunday, our rain chances will diminish. There's also the possibility of rip currents.
Our southwest counties will probably get the most of the rain from this tropical disturbance -- about half an inch -- as it continues to move inland.
That dry air could weaken the system and stop it from being a big rainmaker.
