HOUSTON A 31-year-old former teacher s aide at C.E. King High School is accused of sexually assaulting a student.
Kendrick Deshun Barrett is charged with sexual assault of a child.
According to court documents, Barrett assaulted the student three times, beginning in January of 2009, when the girl was 15 years old.
Investigators said the girl initially made outcry to a school counselor at C.E. King in March of 2011.
The girl told investigators she met Barrett while she was a student there.
She said they would meet behind the school tennis courts before her after-school classes at San Jacinto College.
She said Barrett would then take her to his apartment, where they would smoke marijuana and have sex.
He would later drop her off for her classes.
Charges were filed against Barrett on December 9, 2011.
As of Monday afternoon, he was not in custody.
