EAST BERNARD, Texas - The latest season of “Survivor” will include a Houston-area woman.

Libby Vincek, 24, is one of 20 contestants competing on “Survivor: Ghost Island” in Fiji.

Vincek attended East Bernard High School and Texas Christian University where she studied radio and film. The social media strategist currently lives in Nashville.

When asked why she thinks she’ll survive “Survivor,” Vincek told CBS, “I know that I can outlast and outplay! I work out a lot. I have endurance, I danced for 12 years. I have balance. I've completed tough mudders, marathons, and other races so I can get myself through challenges.”

This season's twist? Contestants will be learning from mistakes made by others in seasons past

"So imagine all of the bad Survivor decisions have been living on Ghost Island, and they're haunted. And now they're ready to haunt this group of players," explains host Jeff Probst.

“Survivor: Ghost Island” premieres Wednesday night at 7 p.m on CBS/KHOU. For more information on Vincek, tap/click here.
