HOUSTON — School districts in the Deer Park area canceled classes last week after a shelter-in-place was issued for a large portion of Deer Park southwest of ITC. That shelter-in-place has since been lifted.
SCHOOLS OPEN MONDAY:
- Deer Park Independent School District
- La Porte Independent School District
- Channelview Independent School District
- Sheldon Independent School District
- Galena Park Independent School District
- Goose Creek Consolidated Independent School District
- YES Prep East End and Southeast
- Pasadena Independent School District
La Porte and Deer Park ISDs made their announcements Sunday evening after the district speaks to local and area emergency management officials.
All San Jacinto College campuses and the district office will open for normal class schedules and business operations Monday as well, the college announced Sunday evening.
