HOUSTON — The Houston Independent School District said it is continuing to monitor the situations at its campuses across the city.
As of Friday night, HISD said 122 campuses still didn't have power and there was no estimate on how long it would take to get it restored.

The district is also assessing tree and building damage at all of its campuses.
Superintendent Mike Miles visited four elementary schools on Friday and said Robinson, Paige, Sinclair and Pugh elementary schools sustained damage and don't have electricity.
The district said all four schools "should be able to serve students once power is restored."
"It is still our goal to have every student safely back in school on Monday, however, power must be restored before students can return to their campuses. Power outages remain the most extensive issue.," HISD said in an update.
The district also noted that it was working with CenterPoint and City and County officials to ensure student safety on Monday.
At one HISD school where the power did not go out, a few students still roamed the halls Friday.
Administrators at Booker T. Washington High School tell KHOU 11 they already planned to host a group of students from Zimbabwe for a 10-day cultural exchange program. However, with the power out at their hotel, those students spent most of their day at the school where they were still able to enjoy the program.
“So many people poured out expressions of support to make sure these students did not go without. Our students came by to make sure they greeted them," said Dr. Carlos Phillips, the school's principal. “We hope that everyone is able to open their schools on Monday.”

School events that are scheduled to happen this weekend will be held at the discretion of individual principals, HISD said.
