MCSO releases photos of suspect, getaway vehicle in armed robbery outside The Woodlands Mall

The Montgomery County sheriff said the guy pictured and two others robbed the victims in the mall parking lot and stole their car at gunpoint on Nov. 15.

THE WOODLANDS, Texas — The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office is searching for three men who robbed some women outside The Woodlands Mall earlier this month.

They released photos of one of the suspects along with the vehicle the suspects were in.

According to MCSO, the robbers held up the victims at gunpoint in the mall parking lot. They grabbed their purses and other property and then stole their vehicle.

The stolen property and vehicle were later found abandoned in Houston.

The suspects' vehicle is described as an older model Honda Civic with faded and discolored paint on the roof.

If anyone has any information that could lead to the identities of these suspects, please contact the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office at 936-760-5800 option 3 or to remain anonymous, contact Multi-County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-392-STOP [7867] and refer to case # 23A338180.

The sheriff's office said extra patrol units are on duty during the busy holiday shopping season.

They also offered a few reminders for shoppers.

  • If you don't feel safe, ask a security guard to walk you to your vehicle. 
  •  Lock all doors once inside.
  • Don't leave valuables in your vehicle, even for a very short period of time. 
  • Always be aware of your surroundings.

  • Try to park in well-lit areas or near security cameras.
  • If you see any suspicious persons or activities inform police or security.
  • Secure your vehicle. Ensure it is locked and your alarm is activated, if applicable.
  • Use extra caution when utilizing remote engine start features on your vehicle.
  • Hide gifts, packages or other valuables in the trunk ahead of time. 
  • Avoid carrying large sums of cash on your person or inside your vehicle.
  • If you must carry a purse, consider a cross-body. Those high-dollar handbags can be thief magnets.
