LEAGUE CITY, Texas — League City police are investigating a double shooting that left a woman dead and a man injured Tuesday morning.
It happened around 9:45 a.m. on East Winn Street in the Glen Cove subdivision.
Someone heard the gunshots and called 911.
According to the League City Police Department, officers tried to perform lifesaving measures on the woman until EMS arrived, but she didn't make it.
The man was rushed to a nearby hospital in unknown condition.
Michael Collins, 40, was arrested at the scene and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in connection with the man's shooting.
Police said additional charges may be filed in the woman's death.
At this point, a motive isn't clear.
Collins' bond was set at $500,000.
