FORT BEND COUNTY, Texas — A man was arrested Friday after being accused of killing a woman he dated.
Coralyn Hunt, 38, was found shot to death inside her home in Fort Bend County on Feb. 19. Her children were inside the home at the time of the shooting, but none of them were hurt.
Investigators later identified Anthony Sorel Haywood, 42, as the shooter. According to the Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office, the two had been in a dating relationship.
On March 1, Haywood was found on Long Point Road Near Silber Road and taken into custody by the Gulf Coast Violent Offenders Task Force.
"It's a tragedy when someone's life is taken away, especially when at the hands of another human being," said Sheriff Eric Fagan. "I'd like to thank the investigators for tirelessly working on this case to identify a suspect. I'd also like to thank the task force for their assistance in his arrest."
Haywood was charged with murder. His bond was set at $1 million.
