HARRIS COUNTY, Texas — A 34-year-old woman was shot and killed Friday night in east Harris County when her estranged husband showed up and got into a fight with her boyfriend, according to the sheriff's office.
This happened on Perry Street in a community north of the East Freeway near Wade Road around 11:30 p.m.
According to the Harris County Sheriff's Office, the victim and her boyfriend were hanging out when her estranged husband showed up and a fight broke out. At some point, the fight escalated to gunshots and the woman was hit. EMS pronounced the woman dead at the scene.
The sheriff's office did not clarify which of the men opened fire.
The boyfriend stayed at the scene and was cooperating with investigators, HCSO said. The estranged husband took off. HCSO said they are looking for the estranged husband to get his side of the story.
