HARRIS COUNTY, Texas — Deputies are investigating a woman’s body that was found in a field in northeast Harris County Wednesday morning, according to Sheriff Ed Gonzalez.
The sheriff's office said the body was found at 7:35 a.m. by a landscaping crew in an empty field along Assay Street just inside Beltway 8 near W. Lake Houston Parkway.
While the sheriff initially said there were signs of trauma, after further investigation, detectives said they did not see any. They added that it is still early in the investigation.
They said the victim appears to be in her late 20s, maybe early 30s. There are a few visible tattoos
They are asking that if the community has any information on the body to contact Crime Stoppers or the sheriff's office.
