HARRIS COUNTY, Texas — A woman was found stabbed to death in the backyard of a northwest Harris County home Saturday night, according to Sheriff Ed Gonzalez.
Deputies responded to a call for service on Sunshine Meadow Drive in the Hockley area around 7 p.m.
Wednesday, Gonzalez identified the victim as 62-year-old Dana Magnuson. He said she was an active member of the community.
According to HCSO, Magnuson's son told responding deputies his mother had been found dead in the backyard. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Major Earl Dean with HCSO said they are considering the suspect armed and dangerous.
"Residents should use caution if they see any individuals in the area and call the sheriff's office immediately," Dean said.
HCSO could not give a description of the suspect.
