Woman charged with murder for fatal stabbing

HOUSTON – A 35-year-old woman turned herself in and was charged with murder in the 339th State District Court on Wednesday.

Sharon Phillips is accused of stabbing 25-year-old Brandon Andrews in a convenience store on the 14100 block of South Post Oak Road on Nov. 15.

Phillips approached Andrews after his father went inside the store, police said. According to witnesses at the scene, the two got into an argument and that's when Phillips stabbed Andrews multiple times. Andrews got in his car and attempted to drive to the hospital, police said, but collapsed behind the wheel and crashed his car.

Phillips fled the scene.
