Woman charged with DWI after crashing into deputy's car in Spring

The deputy was investigating another accident when Vernishia Glenn crashed into his car.

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas — A woman was charged with driving while intoxicated Sunday after she crashed into a deputy's vehicle in Spring. 

The Harris County Precinct 4 Office said the deputy was investigating a hit-and-run accident in the 15700 block of North Freeway at the time of the accident.

He was sitting in his car with his emergency lights activated when Vernishia Glenn crashed into his car. Luckily, he was not injured. 

The deputy approached Glenn and said she showed several signs of intoxication. He made her do a sobriety test and learned that she was drunk. 

She was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail.
