THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- Montgomery County Deputies are warning residents in The Woodlands to be on the lookout for a man who assaulted a woman walking in a popular park.

The assault happened around 8:35 p.m. Tuesday in Creekwood Park. This is the second woman who has reported an attack at a Woodlands' park since July.

Once again residents are on edge.

Creekwood Park is very popular among local residents.

"It's a beautiful place to walk," said Elaine Ricco, who often comes here with her three-year-old daughter. "There is a park to bring the kids."

However, after reports of an assault on Tuesday, visitors are keeping their eyes open for anyone suspicious.

"It kind of freaks me out a little," Ricco admitted.

According to Lt. Brady Fitzgerald, a woman was walking alone in the park when a man came up to her and introduced himself as "Michael" a freshman from Lone Star College.

"When she tried to end the conversation and walk away," explained Fitzgerald. " He pulled her down by her hair and assaulted her in the bike park. She reported that she continued fighting the attacker. She was able to get away."

The details of the assault haven't been released yet but the suspect is described as a clean-shaven white male, approximately 6' tall. He was wearing an orange and black hat, black skinny jeans and a jacket. The victim says her attacker was riding a BMX-style bicycle.

In July, deputies investigated a different assault on a running path just two miles from Creekwood. At this point, the two cases have not been connected.

Anyone with information regarding either incident is asked to call Crime Stoppers.
