HARRIS COUNTY, Texas — Houston police are looking for a man accused of shooting another man outside a movie theater in northwest Harris County early Wednesday morning.
This happened at the AMC movie theater off the Tomball Parkway in the Willowbrook area around midnight.
Police said a group of five people had met up to see a movie. As they were leaving, some kind of argument broke out about a missing phone. The argument led to one of the men confronting another man in a breezeway near the parking lot. That's when the shooting happened.
Two of the people in the group stayed at the scene and told police they didn't see the shooting, but saw two people -- a man and a woman -- running away. Police believe the man is the shooter. The two reportedly took off in a dark-colored small SUV or Jeep.
The victim of the shooting was taken to an area hospital and is expected to be OK.
Police said they have an idea of who the shooter is and how to find him. They're asking him to come forward and give his side of the story.
"He needs to come in and tell us what occurred," said HPD Lt. R. Willkens.
Police said that the missing phone that may have started the incident was later found.
