HOUSTON — A man is dead after a hit-and-run crash in west Houston early Monday morning, police say.
This happened around 1 a.m. on Westheimer Road at Dairy Ashford.
According to the Houston Police Department, the man was crossing the street in a crosswalk when a car driving east on Westheimer hit him and kept driving. When officers arrived at the scene, the man was already dead.
Investigators were working to gather surveillance video and talk to witnesses.
Police could not give a description of the suspect vehicle other than it was a dark-colored SUV.
