HOUSTON — A 41-year-old man thought he was coming to Houston to meet up with an underage girl for sex, according to Precinct One investigators.
Instead, Jason Allen Shepherd learned the "underage girl" was an undercover officer and he was arrested by Constable Alan Rosen’s Internet Crimes Against Children Unit.
Investigators said Shepherd had been talking with the undercover officer online for more than a month.
They said the waiter from Round Mountain, west of Austin, then drove over 200 miles to the "underage girl's" home.
Investigators found a testosterone booster and a six-pack of blueberry cobbler-flavored beer.
Shepherd was charged with online solicitation of a minor. If convicted, he could get two to 20 years in prison.
