Two teens shot after fight at southeast Houston apartment complex, police say

HPD said the two 15-year-olds were in the apartment's courtyard when an unknown man came up to them and started some kind of fight.

HOUSTON — Two teens were shot after a fight broke out early Sunday morning, according to the Houston Police Department.

This happened on Clearwood Drive between Almeda Genoa Road and the Gulf Freeway around 12:30 a.m.

HPD said the two 15-year-olds were in the apartment's courtyard when an unknown man came up to them and started some kind of fight. The man pulled out a gun and opened fire, grazing one of the teens and hitting the other in the torso several times, police said.

The teen who was shot multiple times was taken to an area hospital where they were flown to Texas Children's in what police called serious condition. The other teen is expected to be OK.

We don't yet know what led up to the fight or shooting.
