HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – A 19-year-old has been arrested for allegedly shooting a 7-year-old boy in a drive-by on December 8.
Omarion Philip Bailey is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
Deputies said Bailey shot at a Cadillac Escalade that was stopped on the corner of Fort Stanton and Grey Hawk in west Harris County. The Cadillac was being driven by an 18-year-old. His younger brothers, 6 and 7, were also in the car.
The 7-year-old was shot in the upper back. No one else was injured.
The child was taken to Katy Memorial Hospital and later transported by life-flight to Texas Children’s Hospital. He is expected to make a full recovery.
Bailey's bond has been set at $50,000.
