HARRIS COUNTY, Texas — A teen was arrested and charged with murder after a woman was found stabbed to death in the backyard of a northwest Harris County home, according to Sheriff Ed Gonzalez.
Deputies responded to a call for service on Sunshine Meadow Drive in the Hockley area around 7 p.m. on Saturday, July 20. A few days later, Gonzalez identified the victim as 62-year-old Dana Magnuson. He said she was an active member of the community.
According to HCSO, Magnuson's son told responding deputies his mother had been found dead in the backyard.
On July 29, Gonzalez announced the suspect, a 15-year-old boy, was arrested and charged. He's in custody at the Harris County Juvenile Detention Center, according to Gonzalez.
