Man shot, killed at taco truck in west Houston, police say

The Houston Police Department said the man was getting food when two people wearing masks pulled up in a white Mercedes and started shooting.

HOUSTON — A man in his thirties was shot and killed while getting food at a taco truck early Wednesday morning in west Houston, police say.

This happened at a shopping center off Richmond Avenue at Dunvale Road just before 2 a.m.

The Houston Police Department said the man was getting food when two people wearing masks pulled up in a white Mercedes and one of them started shooting. At least 9 shots were fired. 

The whole incident was caught on surveillance video. The video appears to show the white car pull up before a man gets out of the passenger seat. The passenger can be seen shooting a man standing in front of the truck. Police said the man was shot in the neck and died at the scene.

The shooter was seen on video walking off as the driver pulled the door closed and sped off.

Police were working to determine a motive in the shooting. We don't yet know the identity of the victim.
