PEARLAND, Texas - A SWAT situation ended Saturday evening after officers found a male suspect deceased inside a home in Pearland.
The 36-year-old man died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to the Pearland Police Department.
Officers responded to a call around 9:20 a.m. about a man firing shots in the 3300 block of Orchard Mill.
Police said the suspect was upset with his family and "drove them out the house with the weapon" before barricading himself inside the home.
SWAT officers tried to negotiate with the suspect throughout the day. Police said they discovered the man's body around 6:30 p.m.
No other details were released. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
