HOUSTON - A suspect led police on a chase on Allen Parkway early Sunday morning.
An HPD officer attempted to pull over a driver in a pickup truck around 3:00 a.m. on Cavalcade at 45 North Freeway. The driver took off, leading police on a chase that ended on Allen Parkway.
The suspect drove into the Allen Parkway Apartments, where he got a flat tire and kept going around the apartment in circles. Officers eventually boxed in the suspect and he was quickly taken into custody.
It is unknown why he fled but officers believe he was under the influence of some form of narcotics. He was arrested for felony evading.
