The store owner told police the men may have followed him from the bank before they robbed him.

HOUSTON — Police are looking for the men who robbed the owner of a convenience store owner on Houston’s south side Friday, July 14.

Just before 11 a.m. the store owner was returning to his store on Almeda Genoa near Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard after a trip to the Hamni Bank at 6588 Corporate where he withdrew a large sum of money at the drive-thru window.

The owner told police he was walking toward the entrance to the store when two men rushed him and grabbed the cash he was holding. He said he had a brief struggle with the thieves, but they overpowered him and got away with his money.

The men police are looking for drove away in a black Toyota 4-Runner.

The store owner said he believes the men followed him from the bank.
