More than $500 worth of stolen meat found inside car during traffic stop in Houston area, police say

The traffic stop was conducted because the vehicle was reported stolen out of College Station, Texas.

ROSENBERG, Texas — Two people are facing charges after 18 packages of stolen meat were found inside a car during a traffic stop on Tuesday, according to Rosenberg police. 

Police said the vehicle was pulled over because it was reported stolen out of College Station, Texas. During the traffic stop, police said they found beef steaks, brisket and pork chitterlings valued at over $500 inside the car. The meat was reportedly stolen out of Katy and Houston-area grocery stores, police said. 

In addition to the stolen meat, drug paraphernalia was found inside the vehicle, Rosenberg police said.
