HOUSTON — Houston police say a suspect crashed a stolen car into an apartment's fence before getting out and stabbing a nearby man several times.
This happened on Woodridge Square Drive, which is near the Gulf Freeway and South Loop, around 7:15 p.m.
Police said no one saw the crash itself, but witnesses did see the suspect get out of the car and walk over to a man lying on the ground nearby. Witnesses told police the suspect rolled the man over and stabbed him several times before walking away. Officers took the suspect into custody shortly after. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
We don't yet know what led up to the incident or whether there was any relationship between the suspect and victim.
