CHAMBERS COUNTY, Texas — Several undocumented immigrants were taken into custody after a search warrant was served at a suspected stash house in the Mont Belvieu area Thursday morning, according to the Chambers County Sheriff’s Office.
This happened at 9 a.m. at a home on Dripping Spring just east of FM 3180.
The sheriff’s office said the Criminal Investigation Division executed a search warrant. The Mont Belvieu Police Department helped, along with digital forensic investigators from other agencies.
Multiple people, who they believed to be of Asian descent, were found inside the home, the sheriff said. Deputies then requested help from Homeland Security Investigations.
The investigation is ongoing.
