HOUSTON — Two men were shot in southwest Houston early Monday morning, police say. One of them died at the scene.

It happened along West Bellfort and near Highway 69 and the Beltway. Police said officers found one victim lying dead on the sidewalk.
The other victim, a man in his 40s, was taken to an area hospital and is expected to be OK.
Police said they found a bike and shell casings near a bus stop in the area.
KHOU 11 saw police going in and out of some of the businesses in a nearby plaza speaking with people, trying to gather more information and possibly surveillance video.
There's no word on a suspect.
