Skeletal remains of homicide victim found in Houston backyard identified

An autopsy identified the victim as Jason Flintroy, 42. Now HPD homicide detectives want to know who killed him.

Skeletal remains discovered on Lee Otis Street near Cullen Blvd. on Oct. 9 have been identified as Jason Flintroy, 42, Houston police said.

HOUSTON — Police have learned the identity of a victim whose skeletal remains were found in a southeast Houston backyard earlier this month. 

When the remains were discovered on Lee Otis Street near Cullen Blvd. on Oct. 9, police couldn't tell the gender, age or cause of death. 

The Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences did an autopsy and identified the victim as 42-year-old Jason Flintroy. He'd been shot to death. 

Now, HPD homicide detectives want to know who killed him. 

At this time, there is no known suspect or motive.
