2 women shot at restaurant off North Freeway, Pct. 4 constable says

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas — An investigation is underway after two women were shot at a restaurant off the North Freeway in north Harris County Friday morning, according to the Precinct 4 Constable's Office.

Constable Mark Herman said the shooting happened at a Denny's restaurant along the North Freeway just south of Fallbrook Drive. He first posted about the incident on social media at 6:37 a.m. The women were reportedly shot in the leg and shoulder. We don't yet know the severity of their injuries.

While the shooting happened off the North Freeway, Herman said deputy constables were flagged down regarding the incident nearly 15 miles away at a gas station on Kurkendahl Road near Eagle Bend Drive.

The women were taken by ambulance to an area hospital.

There's no word on a suspect or motive at this time.
