HARRIS COUNTY, Texas — A man was found shot to death in his garage in north Harris County on Halloween, according to the sheriff’s office.
The incident happened between 10 p.m. and 11 p.m. at a home on Hawks Nest Drive near March Creek Drive in a neighborhood just west of Ella Boulevard.
As of now, no arrests have been made, but crime scene investigators are still on the scene, trying to piece together exactly what happened.
Investigators said they were called to the home after reports of multiple shots being fired in the neighborhood.
It was a busy night in the area with people out and about for Halloween. Witnesses told investigators they saw someone in a Michael Myers mask walk up to a man in his garage and start shooting.
“Someone of that description was seen in the area during the shooting. Again, we’re reviewing video, processing the scene, and interviewing witnesses to gather as much evidence as we can,” HCSO Homicide Sgt. Michael Ritchie said.
Investigators said the family was inside the home at the time of the shooting but was unharmed. The victim was shot multiple times and could not be saved.
The Harris County Sheriff's Office is asking anyone with information in this case that could lead to an arrest to call them.
