HOUSTON — A man attempting to make a food delivery was shot during a robbery on the north side late Friday night, according to the Houston Police Department.
This happened around 10 p.m. on Imperial Valley just south of Beltway 8.
Houston police said the victim was delivering Uber Eats food and left his wife and child in the car waiting for him. When he returned to the car, the victim was approached by an unknown gunman who shot him in the chest.
The gunman then ran off and then the victim got back into his car, police said. He was able to drive down the street. That is where the police responded and rendered first aid.
He was then taken to the hospital.
Police said they are investigating it as a possible robbery since the victim was still within the apartment complex when the robbery happened.
A description of the suspect was not released.
