KATY, Texas — One person was taken to a hospital with gunshot wounds after a man shot at three possible robbery suspects in Katy.
The Harris County Sheriff’s Office says deputies responded to a weapons disturbance at 3099 Fry Road on Saturday afternoon.
Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said two or three men tried to rob a woman when her husband was able to retrieve a pistol and shoot at them. One of the men was hit and taken to a hospital, where he is being treated, according to Gonzalez.
The shooter remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators, Gonzalez said.
Deputies suspect this is a "jugging" case. They believe the crooks followed the couple from a bank to the Randall's grocery parking lot, where the crime happened.
