HARRIS COUNTY, Texas — Harris County Sheriff's Office investigators are working to figure out what happened at a northwest-side senior living community on Thursday night.
Samaria Bellows, 81, was shot to death inside her unit at the Palisades of Inwood on West Mount Houston Road near Antoine Drive.
Authorities returned to the scene on Friday to gather more evidence. Family members of Bellows were there but didn't want to talk about what happened.
The granddaughter of one of Bellows' neighbors said the incident makes her nervous.
"I am concerned for my grandmother. I, personally, would like to make arrangements to have her move and migrate out of here," Porsha Belle said.
Authorities said they're working to determine a motive.
The complex declined to comment.
